Hwang Cheol was born into a family of warriors in the northern region of Korea during the 16th century. From a young age, he was trained in various forms of combat and martial arts by his father, who was a renowned general in the region. Cheol's father instilled in him a strong sense of honor, loyalty, and duty, which he carried with him throughout his life.
