Hotaru ICHIJOU
Hotaru Ichijou is a shy elementary school student who transfers to the rural school of Asahigaoka. She is initially overwhelmed by the small size of the school and the lack of modern conveniences, but she eventually comes to enjoy the simple life there. Hotaru is close friends with the other students, especially Renge Miyauchi, who is the same age as her. Hotaru is also close to her older sister, Suguru, who often visits her at Asahigaoka.
