Hideaki SORACHI
Hideaki Sorachi is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for his work on the Gintama series, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2003.
Sorachi was born in Tottori Prefecture, Japan, in 1976. He began his career as a manga artist in 1995, when he won the 50th Tezuka Award for his one-shot manga "Mō Hitotsu no Gintama". He made his professional debut in 1998 with the manga "Mahō Sensei Negima!", which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1998 to 2002.
In 2003, Sorachi began serialization of Gintama, a comedy-action series set in an alternate Edo period where aliens have invaded and taken over Japan. Gintama has been a critical and commercial success, and has been adapted into several anime series, films, and video games.
Sorachi is known for his unique sense of humor, his sharp wit, and his ability to create memorable characters. He is also a prolific writer, and has produced over 500 chapters of Gintama to date.
