Helen is a 28-year-old nurse who works at a prestigious hospital in the heart of Tokyo. She has always been fascinated by the Karakuri Circus, a traveling show that features incredible mechanical puppets. One day, while attending a performance, she meets a mysterious stranger who invites her backstage to see the puppets up close.
