Hatoko's Grandmother
Hatoko's grandmother, also known as Oba-chan, has always been a mysterious figure in her granddaughter's life. She lived in a small village at the foot of a mountain, where she spent her days tending to her garden and practicing traditional Japanese crafts. Hatoko only saw her grandmother a few times a year, during her summer vacations, but each visit was filled with wonder and excitement.
