Frederick Kreiburg was born into a family of musicians, and he showed an early aptitude for composition. He studied at the finest music academies in Europe and quickly gained a reputation as a brilliant composer. However, his life took a dark turn when he became obsessed with a mysterious woman who he believed was the muse of his music. He pursued her relentlessly, even as she rejected him time and time again. In his pursuit, he became consumed by jealousy and rage, and his music took on a dark, haunting quality.
