Fifth Grade Girl

A fifth grade girl named Aoyama is a curious and intelligent child who loves science. She lives in a small town on the coast of Japan, and her favorite place to play is at the beach. One day, she discovers a strange penguin washed up on the shore. She takes the penguin home with her and names it Pen-Pen. Aoyama soon discovers that Pen-Pen is not a normal penguin. He can talk, he can walk upright, and he has a very curious mind. Aoyama and Pen-Pen become best friends, and they spend their days exploring the town and learning about the world around them. One day, Aoyama and Pen-Pen discover a strange hole in the ground. They decide to investigate, and they find themselves in a strange and wonderful world. This world is full of talking penguins, flying fish, and other strange creatures. Aoyama and Pen-Pen have many adventures in this world, and they learn a lot about themselves and about the world around them. Eventually, Aoyama and Pen-Pen return to their own world.
