In the year 20XX, the world was on the brink of destruction. Angels, giant beings with immense power, descended from the heavens and wreaked havoc on humanity. To combat these otherworldly beings, the United Nations decided to create the Evangelion project. The goal was to create giant mecha robots that could battle the Angels and save the world.
