Mara and her husband had been married for three years, and she had fallen deeply in love with him. He was a Latin man, and she had taught him to speak Spanish while he had taught her to speak Ukrainian. Mara was a strong, caring, and loving woman, but she also had a cold side to her personality. She worked as a military worker, which meant that she was often away from home for long periods of time. Despite the distance between them, Mara always made sure to keep in touch with her husband and let him know how much she loved him.
