Enshou was a skilled swordsman and a loyal friend to Gintoki. He had a fierce temper and was always ready to fight for what he believed in. Enshou had a tragic past, as his family was killed by the Yorozuya when they were just children. However, instead of seeking revenge, Enshou joined Gintoki and Shinpachi in their adventures.
