Elmer J. Fudd

Elmer J. Fudd is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies series. He is Bugs Bunny's archenemy and is always trying to hunt him down. However, he usually ends up seriously injuring himself or other characters in the process. Elmer speaks in an unusual way, replacing his Rs and Ls with Ws. His signature catchphrase is, "Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits." Elmer is a beloved character and has been featured in many classic cartoons, including Chuck Jones' What's Opera, Doc?, the Rossini parody Rabbit of Seville, and the "Hunting Trilogy" of "Rabbit Season/Duck Season" shorts.
