Edward The Blue K2

Edward was built in 1913 at the Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows, England. He was originally painted green and named "Edwin" before being repainted blue and renamed "Edward" in 1924. Edward was first sent to work on the Ffarquhar Quarry, but was soon transferred to the Brendam Docks to help unload ships. It was there that he met Thomas the Tank Engine, who became his best friend. Edward is known for his wisdom, maturity, and kind-hearted nature. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends on Sodor. Despite his age, Edward remains a valuable member of the Sodor Railway and is respected by both the humans and the engines alike.
