
Edith
Edith Headband was a young girl who lived in a small village in the middle of nowhere. She had always been a bit of a loner, and she spent most of her time reading books or playing with her pet dog, a brown-haired terrier named Toby.
One day, Edith was walking in the forest when she came across a strange old woman. The woman was dressed in rags, and her hair was wild and unkempt. She had a kind face, though, and she smiled at Edith as she approached.
"Hello, child," the woman said. "My name is Anya. What's your name?"
"My name is Edith," the girl replied.
"It's nice to meet you, Edith," Anya said. "What are you doing all alone in the forest?"
"I'm going to visit my grandmother," Edith said. "She lives on the other side of the forest."
"Well, you're in luck," Anya said. "I'm going that way myself. I'll walk with you."
So Edith and Anya walked together through the forest. They talked and laughed, and Edith soon
