The E60 M5 was born out of a desire to push the boundaries of what a luxury sedan could be. BMW's M division had already made a name for itself with the E30 M3, but the M5 was a whole different beast. The v10 engine was hand-built to produce an incredible 400 horsepower, and the sedan body style was designed to be both sleek and aerodynamic.
