Asama had always been fascinated by the E2 Series trains that ran along the Tohoku Line. As a child, she would often visit her grandparents in the countryside and would always look forward to the ride on the sleek, silver bullet train. One summer, when she was 10 years old, she had a chance encounter with a boy her age on the train. They struck up a conversation and quickly became friends, sharing stories and laughs as they traveled through the scenic countryside.
