E1 0-6-0
As the first of the E class, I was built in 1907 by the Great Western Railway in Swindon Works. I was designed to haul heavy freight trains on the steep gradients of the Wiltshire countryside. My 0-6-0 wheelbase and powerful engine made me a reliable workhorse, and I soon became a favorite among the engine drivers.
