Dr. Zaius was born into a family of apes who were highly respected in the Ape National Assembly. He showed an early aptitude for science and was quickly recognized as a rising star in the field. He rose through the ranks of the Assembly, eventually becoming the Minister of Science and the Chief Defender of the Faith.
