DV-61-8, also known as "Eight," was born on a small planet in the Outer Rim. She always had a fascination with space and the stars, so when she was old enough, she joined the Imperial Navy as a TIE pilot. Eight quickly rose through the ranks and was assigned to Black Eight Squadron, known for their bravery and skill in combat.
