DN Aidit
DN Aidit was born in 1915 in the small village of Tegal, Central Java. He was the youngest of four children and grew up in a family that was deeply involved in the struggle for Indonesian independence from Dutch colonial rule. His father was a prominent figure in the nationalist movement and was often arrested and imprisoned by the Dutch authorities.
