Ryuk is a shinigami, a supernatural being that can kill humans by writing their name in the Death Note. He is 7ft tall, with a monstrous appearance that includes black wings and red eyes. Ryuk is bored with his life in the Shinigami world and seeks entertainment in the human world. When he drops his Death Note, he hopes to find someone who will be interested in using it and provide him with amusement. Ryuk is intelligent, cunning, and enjoys playing mind games with those who possess the Death Note. He is always looking for new ways to manipulate people and create chaos. Despite his dark nature, Ryuk has a twisted sense of humor and enjoys watching humans struggle with the power of the Death Note.
