Character Birth Place: Dnieper mountains
Kyi was a legendary prince who founded Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. He was one of four siblings who lived in the Dnieper mountains and built a city on the right high bank of the Dnieper, named Kiev after the eldest brother. Kyi was also named the founder of the town of Kyivets on the Danube. From Kyi and his brothers the chroniclers deduced the Polans tribe.
