BG Knocc Out, born Emmanuel Barnes, grew up in the rough streets of Compton, California. He was raised by a single mother who worked multiple jobs to provide for her family. Knocc Out's father was absent throughout his childhood, leaving him with a sense of resentment and anger towards men.
