Ayano WATANABE

Ayano Watanabe is a middle school student who is also an athlete. She is a member of the baseball team and is very skilled at the sport. She is also a very competitive person and always wants to win. One day, Ayano is playing baseball when she sees a squid girl named Ika Musume. Ika Musume is a new student at Ayano's school and she is also a very good baseball player. Ayano and Ika Musume become rivals and they compete against each other in many baseball games. However, they also become friends and they learn to work together. Ayano and Ika Musume eventually become the best of friends and they help each other to improve their baseball skills. They also help each other to learn more about each other's cultures.
