Austrian painter Gustav Klimt was a controversial figure in the art world. Known for his stunning and sensual paintings, Klimt was also a vocal supporter of the Nazi party. Born in 1862, Klimt grew up in a wealthy family and was exposed to the arts from a young age. He studied at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts and quickly became one of the most celebrated artists in Austria.
