Ashley J. Williams, better known as Ash, was a simple store clerk at S-Mart until he and his friends decided to spend a weekend in a cabin in the woods. Little did they know, they had stumbled upon an ancient book of the dead, the Necronomicon. Ash, being the only one to survive the night, was forced to fight off hordes of demons and the undead with nothing but a chainsaw for a hand and a shotgun.
