Arte Mermaid is a young mermaid who lives in the sea. She has long, blue hair and a beautiful singing voice. One day, she is caught in a storm and washed up on a beach. She is found by a human named Souma, who takes her in and helps her to adjust to life on land. Arte quickly learns that life on land is very different from life in the sea. She has to learn how to walk, how to talk, and how to live in a human society. She also has to learn how to deal with the prejudice that humans have against mermaids. Despite the challenges, Arte is determined to make a life for herself on land. She finds a job at a restaurant called "Restaurant to Another World," where she uses her singing voice to entertain the customers. She also makes friends with the other employees, including Souma and his sister, Anya. Arte's story is a story of hope and perseverance.
