Aome Higurashi is a young woman from a small village in Japan. She grew up surrounded by traditional Japanese folklore and mythology, and has always been fascinated by the stories and legends of her homeland. As a child, she would spend hours listening to her grandmother tell tales of spirits, demons, and other supernatural creatures that inhabited the forests and mountains around their village.
