Ao-ki is a 13-year-old orphan who was raised in the Knowledge Tower, a vast library and research facility that houses the world's most extensive collection of books, manuscripts, and artifacts. She was found as a baby on the steps of the tower by the head librarian, who took her in and raised her as their own. Ao-ki grew up surrounded by books and knowledge, and her love for learning and her intelligence quickly became apparent.
