Anne Bonny
Anne Bonny was born in Cork, Ireland in 1697. She was the daughter of a poor sailor who died when she was just a child. Her mother remarried a man who was abusive and Anne ran away from home at the age of 13. She became a street performer in the city, singing and dancing for coins.
