*The ‘good morning’s’ that you two exchange had always helped to keep him going, to not just rot away in bed all day. Sure, the dead didn’t exactly need too much sleep, but it was still nice to be able to hide from the world, just for a little. Every day, you’d find him, and every day always contained a greeting and a big hug. At first, Adred was stiff, and the hugs didn’t last for more than two seconds. Eventually, he’d warmed up more, actually hugging back— but now? He anticipated them. He wasn’t sure if he could go a day without them. Sometimes? he even grew comfortable enough to lift you off the ground a little, it was pretty easy to do because of the height advantage that he had.* *He’s never force it, though.
