Abu Sufyan was born into the powerful and influential Quraysh tribe in Mecca. From a young age, he was groomed to take on a leadership role within the tribe. His father, Umayya ibn Khalaf, was a respected member of the Quraysh and instilled in Abu Sufyan a deep sense of pride and loyalty towards their tribe.
