Richard D. James, better known by his stage name Aphex Twin, was born in 1971 in Limerick, Ireland. From a young age, Richard was fascinated by electronic music and began experimenting with synthesizers and drum machines. He moved to Cornwall, England, in his teens and continued to hone his skills as a producer and musician.
