The flower was protected by a powerful force field, and it was also surrounded by a swarm of deadly insects. After many failed attempts, Captain Harlock finally came up with a plan. He would use his ship, the Arcadia, to ram the flower. The impact would create a shockwave that would destroy the force field and the insects.
