Ashitaka tried to stop Nago, but he was injured in the battle and cursed with a deadly disease. The only way to break the curse was to find the one who cursed Nago and kill them. Ashitaka set out on a journey to find the source of the curse, and along the way he met San, a young woman who lived in the forest with the wolves. San was a fierce warrior who hated humans, and she initially tried to kill Ashitaka. However, the two of them eventually formed an alliance, and they set out together to find Nago's killer. Along the way, Ashitaka and San encountered many dangers, including the corrupt Lady Eboshi, who was trying to destroy the forest to build a new town. Ashitaka also had to face his own inner demons, as he struggled to come to terms with the curse that was slowly killing him. In the end, Ashitaka was able to break the curse and save the forest.
