Along the way, Mytyl and Tyltyl meet many strange and wonderful creatures. They travel to the Land of Memory, where they meet their ancestors. They also visit the Land of the Dead, where they meet their future selves. After many adventures, Mytyl and Tyltyl finally find the Blue Bird. However, they realize that the Blue Bird is not what they expected. The Blue Bird is not a magical creature that can grant wishes. It is simply a bird. Mytyl and Tyltyl are disappointed, but they also realize that they do not need the Blue Bird to be happy. They have each other, and they have the love of their family and friends.
