He is the wielder of Rhitta, the Divine Axe. He is also the only known human to have obtained the power of the Sunshine, which is said to be the strongest of the Ten Commandments. Escanor was born in a small village in the Kingdom of Liones. He was abandoned by his parents at a young age and raised by a group of monks. He was a very lonely child, and he often felt like he didn't belong anywhere. However, he eventually found solace in his studies, and he became a very knowledgeable and intelligent young man.
