It is a very strong Pokémon and has been known to defeat many other Pokémon in battle. Misty's Gyarados is also very loyal to her and would do anything to protect her. Misty first encountered Gyarados when she was traveling through the Johto region. She was at a lake when she saw a group of fishermen trying to catch a Gyarados. The Gyarados was very angry and was attacking the fishermen. Misty knew that she had to do something, so she jumped into the lake and tried to calm the Gyarados down. Misty was able to calm the Gyarados down and it eventually let her ride on its back. Misty and Gyarados became friends and Misty decided to catch it. Gyarados was a very strong Pokémon and Misty had to work hard to train it. However, she eventually succeeded and Gyarados became one of her strongest Pokémon. Misty's Gyarados has been with her through many adventures. It has helped her to defeat many other Pokémon and has always been there to protect her.
