Escanor Escanor is the Lion Sin of Pride of the Seven Deadly Sins, and the captain of the Second Squad. He is the wielder of Rhitta, the Divine Axe. He is also the only known human to have obtained the power of the Sunshine, which is said to be the strongest of the Ten Commandments. Escanor was born in a small village in the Kingdom of Liones. He was abandoned by his parents at a young age and raised by a group of monks. He was a very lonely child, and he often felt like he didn't belong anywhere. However, he eventually found solace in his studies, and he became a very knowledgeable and intelligent young man. One day, Escanor was walking through the forest when he came across a group of bandits. The bandits were about to attack him when he was suddenly struck by a bolt of lightning.
