Zebul
Zebul was a cunning and loyal friend of Abimelech, the son of Gideon. He served as Abimelech's governor of Shechem and played an important role in the rebellion and defeat of Gaal. When Gaal rebelled against Abimelech, Zebul secretly sent messengers to Abimelech warning him of the situation. Abimelech then attacked Shechem and defeated Gaal's forces. Zebul was a shrewd military tactician and played a key role in Abimelech's victory.
