Zatanna Zatara is a superheroine with actual mystic powers who can control her magic by speaking incantations backwards. She is a member of both the Justice League and Justice League Dark, and has served as a leadership figure for both teams. Zatanna has appeared in several different media adaptations, including several television series in the DC Animated Universe, and as a recurring character in the final three seasons of Smallville.
