Yuma KUSANAGI is a middle school student who is also a shrine maiden. She has blue hair and pigtails, and she is very hyperactive. She is also the wielder of Matoi the Sacred Slayer, a powerful sword that she uses to fight evil spirits. One day, Yuma is walking home from school when she sees a group of kids picking on a smaller kid.
