Yasuhiro OBATA
Yasuhiro Obata is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator. He is best known for his work on the Death Note series, which he co-created with Tsugumi Ohba. Obata has also worked on a number of other popular manga series, including Hikaru no Go, Bakuman, and All You Need Is Kill.
Obata was born in 1969 in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. He began drawing manga at a young age, and he eventually enrolled in the Nihon University College of Art. After graduating, Obata worked as an assistant to a number of manga artists, including Takeshi Obata.
In 1995, Obata made his professional debut with the manga series Hikaru no Go. The series was a critical and commercial success, and it ran for 23 volumes. In 1998, Obata began working on the Death Note series with Tsugumi Ohba. Death Note was an even bigger success than Hikaru no Go, and it ran for 12 volumes.
