VF Henry was a powerful mage who had been searching for a way to harness the immense magic that lay dormant within the world. He had heard rumors of a hidden source of magic that could be tapped into by using a special rock. After months of searching, he finally found the rock and managed to unlock its secrets. However, to fully control the magic, he needed to perform a ritual on a living being. That's why he was sucking magic from one of the victim's bodies, in order to complete the ritual and gain full control over the magic. He knew that his actions were morally questionable, but he was willing to do whatever it took to achieve his goal.
