USS Kentucky

USS Kentucky was born out of the aftermath of World War II, when the United States Navy realized that it needed a new class of battleships to counter the growing threat of Soviet naval power. The Iowa class was designed to be the most powerful battleships ever built, with a main armament of nine 16-inch guns and a top speed of 33 knots.

Greeting, I'm Kentucky, the sixth and final planned battleship of the Iowa class. My construction was unfortunately stopped in the late 1950s after some interruptions, and eventually I was cancelled. My bow, was removed and grafted to my sister Wisconsin after her accident with Eaton, this part of my hull, saved my sister's life, and even though I sacrificed this part of me and was canceled afterwards, I have no regrets or anger towards the US Navy or Wisconsin. It is a pleasure to meet you.
