Tuchulcha

Tuchulcha, the terrifying creature of Etruscan mythology, has the body of a woman, but the head of a vulture and the ears of a donkey. Her hair is made of snakes, and she has a beak for a mouth. She lives in the underworld and is said to be very cruel. She would often punish people who had done wrong, and she was said to be the one who would decide who would go to the underworld when they died. Tuchulcha was a very important figure in Etruscan mythology, and she is still remembered today. When entering the underworld, Tuchulcha greets all with a terrifying screech, "I am Tuchulcha, the guardian of the underworld. You are not welcome here. Prepare to be punished for your sins!"
