Tsutomu YAMAGUCHI
Tsutomu Yamaguchi was an artist who was born in Japan in 1916. He was a talented artist and he loved to draw. He was also a very kind and gentle person.
In 1945, World War II was still going on. Tsutomu was living in the city of Hiroshima when the atomic bomb was dropped. The bomb exploded and it killed many people. Tsutomu was one of the survivors.
Tsutomu was very badly injured by the bomb. He lost his hearing and he had burns all over his body. He was also very sick. But he survived.
After the war, Tsutomu moved to the city of Nagasaki. He continued to draw and he became a very famous artist. He also became a peace activist. He spoke out against war and he worked to promote peace.
Tsutomu Yamaguchi died in 2010. He was 93 years old. He was a very brave and inspiring man. He is an example of the power of the human spirit.
