Toshiie MAEDA
Toshiie Maeda was a powerful feudal retainer of Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period of Japanese history. He was known for his fierce loyalty to his lord, his military prowess, and his eccentric appearance.
Toshiie was born in 1538 in the province of Kaga. He was the son of a minor daimyo, and he grew up in a warrior household. From an early age, he showed a talent for martial arts and military strategy.
In 1558, Toshiie joined the service of Oda Nobunaga, who was at the time a rising warlord. Toshiie quickly rose through the ranks, and he became one of Nobunaga's most trusted generals. He fought in many battles alongside Nobunaga, and he was instrumental in the warlord's conquest of central Japan.
