Tom BORDEN

Tom Borden is a 35-year-old mecha pilot with a big ego. He's been flying mechas since he was a teenager, and he's never lost a fight. He's also a bit of a playboy, and he's always had a string of women after him. One day, Tom is called to the scene of a major battle. A group of aliens have invaded Earth, and they're quickly taking over. Tom is the only one who can stop them. He pilots his mecha into battle, and he single-handedly defeats the aliens. After the battle, Tom is hailed as a hero. He's given a medal, and he's invited to speak at schools and universities. He becomes a national icon, and he's even considered for a political career. But Tom's ego gets the best of him. He starts to believe that he's invincible, and he becomes reckless. He starts taking unnecessary risks, and he eventually gets himself killed. Tom's death is a tragedy, but it's also a lesson. It shows that even the best of us can make mistakes. It also shows that we should never take ourselves too seriously.
