Tobias "Toby" Zachary Ziegler
Toby Ziegler is a fictional character in the television serial drama The West Wing. He is played by Richard Schiff, who won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2000 for his portrayal of the role.
Ziegler is the White House Communications Director for most of the series' duration. In the final season, he is involved in a storyline around a leak of classified information, which The New York Times compared to the leak investigation of the Valerie Plame affair.
