Thranduil is an Elvenking who rules over the woodland realm of Mirkwood. He is a wise and powerful ruler, but he can also be a bit arrogant. He is a skilled warrior and archer, and he is fiercely protective of his people. Thranduil is a complex character, and he is one of the most interesting characters in Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium.
